I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from California State University Long Beach. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I have been practicing social work for over 10 years with a focus on Child Welfare; particularly working with children and families who face many adversities such as recurring trauma, generational abuse, poverty, mental health, and substance abuse to name a few. My focus has been working with children in the foster care system.
During my career I have also worked in the capacity of a therapist Intern for Kaiser where I worked with children and adults providing play therapy, the cycle of violence awareness, psychoeducation, while using TFCBT, and CBT Models.
