Joy Chow,
LPCC
If you've found yourself on my page, you may be experiencing life changes and seeking emotional support and tools to navigate those challenges. Perhaps the challenges are manifesting as feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, or disconnect to your work, relationships and even yourself. Burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma are common in, but not limited to, first responders and helping professions. You may love what you do but find it increasingly difficult to remain present at work and home. Maintaining that mind and body connection is vital to thriving in both your field of work and life at home.
I'm trained in trauma-informed care, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, and neurofeedback. I have worked with those experiencing intimate partner violence, sexual assault, severe depression, anxiety, psychosis, and dual diagnosis. I use multiple modalities integral to each client’s path to whole-person care and will meet you where you are.
If you are new to therapy, welcome! My priority as a therapist is to create a space where you can safely and confidently explore what has happened, what is going on, and how you want to move forward. I'm excited about your journey to wellness and will gladly partner with you in the process.
My passion is reconnecting the self to mind and body, rediscovering strength, and building on it. I use multiple modalities integral to each client’s path to whole-person care and will meet you where you are. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to wellness.
Modalities:
Strengths-based and body-oriented therapies such as relaxation techniques, mindfulness, neurofeedback, and EMDR.
